Sally Ethelston is Director, Communications and Advocacy with the PATH Malaria Vaccine Initiative (MVI). MVI was established as a program of PATH in 1999, to accelerate the development of malaria vaccines and catalyze timely access in endemic countries. MVI's vision is a world free from malaria. Ms. Ethelston joined MVI in 2007, after working in international reproductive health for more than 15 years, with an emphasis on communications, policy analysis, and advocacy. She has an interdisciplinary Master of Arts in Arab studies and a Certificate in International Business Diplomacy from Georgetown University, where she focused on economic and social development in the Arab world. Following graduate school, she worked for five years on Middle East peace and related issues. She speaks Spanish, Arabic, and basic French.
