Jean-Cyril Dagallier, 51, is the head of the Coordination Unit of the Sugar Research Programme of the ACP group of states. He is an agronomist, specialist of rice and sugar cane crops, with a specific background on mechanization issues (technical, economical, organisation and policy aspects). He coordinated several R & D programs and participated in the development of regional agricultural policies in different linguistic and cultural contexts, mainly in Africa, the Indian Ocean and in the Caribbean and for private, national and international organisations (MAE – SEOM – WB - UNIDO).
