Speech topic: Experiences from the CIT Blackrock Castle Observatory

My research interests lie in (i) in using astronomy to communicate STEM on a global scale and (ii) high time resolution astrophysics. I co-founded an observatory and science centre at Blackrock Castle in Cork, Ireland (www.bco.ie) and our mission is to enthuse young and old about the value and importance of STEM through the medium of astronomy.

As Head of Research at Cork Institute of Technology I work with researchers, research managers and academic staff to drive the research agenda of the Institute. This takes place across all disciplines.
