David Demortain is a political scientist with the SENS (Sciences-en-Société) centre of the French Institut National de Recherche Agronomique (INRA), and a research associate of the Centre for Analysis of Risk and Regulation of the London School of Economics. His research and teaching activities cover risk regulation, with a particular focus on issues of scientific expertise for decision-making and risk assessment. He recently published Scientists and the Regulation of Risk (Edward Elgar Publishing, 2011).
