Since February 2005, I have been working for the Waterford Institute of Technology (WIT) in the Telecommunications Software and Systems Group (WIT-TSSG). Prior to joining WIT-TSSG, I worked at LAKE Communications in Ireland for eight years and Grumman Corporation in the United States for eight years. Since January 2011, I have been the project coordinator of a European Framework Program 7 Co-ordination action entitled ‘BIC’, which stands for Building International Cooperation for Trustworthy ICT: Security, Privacy and Trust in Global Networks & Services. In addition, I been involved in the organization and running of numerous sessions at multi-disciplinary events such as the cross domain Future Internet Assembly (FIA) addressing many of the particular challenges related to the Global Challenges Global Collaboration event.
