Catherine Carty is the UNESCO Chair Project Manager in the Institute of Technology Tralee, Ireland. The newly established chair is entitled  "Transforming the lives of people with disabilities through Physical Education, Sport, Recreation and Fitness" and it represents a multidisciplinary project with a social justice core and activities extending from education, training and research to assisted technologies, robotics and healthcare.  The geographical remit of the Chair extends from Europe, US, Canada to Gulf States, Latin America, Caribbean and Africa.  Catherine has 20 years lecturing, research and project management experience and will be addressing potential for collaboration on the UNESCO Chair initiative.
